Manfred is an award winning Ottawa, Canada based amateur photographer who travels nationally and internationally to capture unique and compelling images from wherever he goes.  From hunting with the Bushmen of the Kalahari to celebrating Holi in Northern India, he gets right into the middle of the action to capture these activities when and where they are happening.  His travels have taken him to over 60 countries, from sophisticated world class cities to exotic villages in less developed places.

When he is at home, in Canada he does a portraiture work with models in traditional portraiture and beauty shots as well as covering cosplay events. He also does a lot of still life photography.

He is a member of the Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA).

Manfred is currently the Past Chair of the RA Photo Club, the largest photography club in the National Capital Region. He is a CAPA Certified Judge who judges photographic competitions at local, regional and national levels.


Awards, Publications and Exhibitions

Awards: Manfred has received over 60 local, national (CAPA) and international awards for his work. His work had been selected to be part of the Canadian entry in the prestigious 2020 Four Nations Competition. He received the IAAP Gold Medal and the FIAP Blue ribbon for his work at the prestigious 129th Toronto International Salon which was held in 2022.

Publications: Manfred’s work has appeared in Canadian Geographic Travel Magazine (Fall / Winter 2018 - 2019) and the Ottawa Business Journal (2019 Giving Guide), Canadian Camera (multiple edits from 2020 to present), A multi-page editorial piece on Lathmar Holi (Nandgaon and Barsana, India) appeared in the Fall 2020 edition of Canadian Camera.

Exhibitions: His work has been shown at the A+ Exhibition at the SPAO Gallery, Ottawa, Canada in 2020.
